From self-doubt to the next stage of the business
Coaching results with Marina Dittrich
Starting point
When Marina came to me for coaching, she had been working as a freelance IT consultant for two years.
She was well recognised professionally and highly regarded as an expert.
And yet, she struggled to truly acknowledge her own success.
Instead of feeling secure, there was a recurring sense that
at some point, it would be exposed that she wasn’t actually that good.
Self-doubt, strong self-criticism and pronounced impostor feelings accompanied her — despite clear, objective success.
At the same time, Marina felt very certain about one thing:
she wanted to take her business to the next level.
Her goal was to establish a limited company and build her own team.
While the goal felt right, she was internally blocked.
Caught between “I want to grow” and “Am I really ready for this?”, she found herself unable to move forward.
Out of this inner tension, she decided to start coaching with me
The goal
Marina wanted to build inner confidence so she could take her next entrepreneurial steps with clarity and conviction.
Specifically, she wanted to:
-
learn how to deal more constructively with self-doubt and impostor feelings
-
develop greater self-confidence
-
gain clarity on whether — and how — setting up a limited company was truly the right step for her
-
feel secure in letting go of responsibility and growing into a new role
-
make decisions she could genuinely stand behind
Working together
In the coaching, we focused on the areas where Marina was feeling internally stuck.
Together, we:
-
made the mechanisms behind her self-doubt and impostor feelings visible
-
put her past achievements into perspective and anchored them internally
-
worked on bringing her self-image back in line with reality
-
created clarity around how she wants to step into her entrepreneurial role going forward
At the same time, we:
-
looked at her next entrepreneurial steps in a structured way
-
reflected on the transition from solo consultant to business owner
-
prepared her mentally for stepping into a leadership role
The results
In the meantime, Marina has successfully founded her own company, NoDitch GmbH, and now leads a small team.
Today, she:
-
acknowledges her achievements instead of playing them down
-
is no longer held back by self-doubt and uses her energy deliberately to shape and grow her business
-
makes clear, confident decisions
-
continues to grow securely into her new role as a business owner

“Through the coaching with Neslihan, I learned how to deal with my self-doubt more constructively and trust myself more.
Although I was professionally recognised, my strong self-criticism held me back for a long time. In the coaching, I began to truly acknowledge my achievements and use the energy that had previously gone into doubt for growth instead.
I’ve since founded my own company, lead a small team, and approach new challenges with much more calm and confidence.”
